Science World – Water Side Piping Replacement and Steel Pile Structural Rehabilitation

Water Side Piping Replacement
This project required Industra to replace all the water piping, supports, hangers and insulation that was suspended underneath the concrete pier at Science World. All the work was over water and executed from boats and barges. Special netting was suspended to ensure no materials or debris entered the ocean (False Creek). All work was completed and inspected as per the EPP.
Steel Pile Structural Rehab
Over 400 steel piles support Science World in Downtown Vancouver’s False Creek. Industra was contracted to contain, abrasive clean and FRP wrap 156 individual piles. All work was conducted from custom fabricated barges and required work at all hours to coincide with the tidal activity.
