Pembina Wash Bay at Pembina Canada Terminals

Design and construction of a cleaning station, consisting of a wash pad and water collection pit suitable for staging two Caterpillar 980 series wheel loaders, and a vacuum system for cleaning cab interiors of the wheel loaders. The pad has a gradient to enable the wash water to run off into a collection pit. The wash pit is deep enough to hold the slurry of copper concentrate and wash water mix and be equipped with a pump of suitable capacity to pump down the water levels to an on-site wastewater treatment plant.
Additional Scope Items
- Designed and construct a new wash bay with a new sloped concrete pad suitable for large scale loaders.
- Installed a new concrete sump with heavy-duty galvanized grating.
- Installed agitation SS piping system with an effluent discharge pump to site WWTP.
- Installed a new high-power vacuum system (roots blower vacuum) with swing arm.
- Included in the work scope was all the motor controls for the automated electrical control of the wash bay.
