Neptune Bulk Terminals Dumper Rail Repairs

The Neptune Bulk Terminal is a coal, potash, and phosphate terminal located on the north shore of Burrard Inlet in the Port of Vancouver.
This project included all construction required to complete the concrete repairs along the entire length of the rail beams, repairs to one of the potash railcar installation of a galvanic cathodic protection system, replacement of the rails and anchors, and realignment of the track within and to the north and south of the dumper.
Additional Scope Items
- Removal and re-installation of railcar pounder guide rail, existing plant services attached to the rail beam as may be necessary to facilitate concrete repairs to the rail beams.
- Removal and disposal of rails, rail clips and bearing plates.
- Removal of the existing steel plate crossing on the north side of the dumper building and replace with a railway standard wood plank foot-crossing suitable for non-vehicular use.
- Chipping and removal of concrete at tops of rail beams and top surfaces of approach slabs.
- Epoxy injection repairs to vertical cracks in rail beams.
- Supply and installation of a galvanic cathodic protection system.
- Installation of Gantrex rail anchor system.
- Supply, installation and alignment of the track within and to the north and south of dumper.
