Kitasoo Creek Salmon Hatchery Upgrade

Project on the north coast of BC to install a new salmon hatchery contained within a series of sea cans. Project also included a shelter for the hatchery containers.
The Kitasoo/Xai’Xais Salmon Enhancement program has been operating at the Klemtu Hatchery since 1982 in efforts to conserve salmon stocks; provide recreational, commercial and Aboriginal fishing opportunities; and support stock assessment.
Additional Scope Items
Hatchery
- Install 4 client supplied sea cans, complete with lock block foundations.
- Supply and Install all electrical and services to sea cans.
- Install client supplied lock block wall.
- Supply and Install plumbing for exterior rearing troughs and tubs.
- Foundation and truss structure including bracing and sheathing.
- Standing seam metal roofing supply and installation.
- Lighting under roof structure.
- Chainlink fencing.
