Project DetailS

Building the Future with Expertise & Innovation

Remote highway infrastructure project involving the replacement of two salt storage sheds at the Muncho Lake and Liard River maintenance yards along the Alaska Highway.

The work included demolition of existing fabric structures, detailed engineering design, and construction of new foundations supported by helical piles and cast-in-place grade beams. The project also involved the supply and erection of new pre-engineered steel structures, re-use and installation of concrete block wall systems, geomembrane reinstatement, and associated grading and electrical works.

Execution was carried out in a remote northern environment requiring coordinated logistics, environmental protection measures, and staged construction across two separate sites.

Each salt shed has a footprint of 1,512 m2 (16,275 sqft).
